GCU require a Storeman to join the team in Dundee to manage stock and equipment to a high standard, ensuring accuracy of stock files, efficient picking and safe storage of stock and maximising availability of stock to support service delivery.
- Checking deliveries against orders
- Working in busy stores environment.
- Operating plant
- Controlling and recording of goods inwards and outwards
- Maintaining minimum stock levels
- Housekeeping Warehouse/Yard
- Conduct weekly stock takes
- Adhering to strict Health and Safety Regulations
- Other ad hoc assignments as and when necessary
Skills and experience required:
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of two year’s relevant experience in a Stores/Warehouse environment. Applicants will be IT savy and it will also be advantageous to be familiar with SAP. It is preferred that candidates hold a telehandler ticket although it is not essential for experienced applicants. Key attributes required for the position include the ability to work with others in a team and under direction, high attention to detail, hardworking, flexible, ability to work autonomously and use initiative, ability to work under pressure and excellent organisations skills.
